Solo Singing Competition was conducted at Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event, held in the school assembly stage, witnessed participation from students of Classes VI to XII, representing all four houses. The theme for the competition was "Patriotism", and participants had the freedom to present either popular patriotic songs from Indian cinema or their own original compositions, celebrating the spirit of the nation. Songs could be rendered in any Indian language, and were performed in either Hindi or English, with or without musical accompaniment. The young singers poured their hearts into soulful renditions like "Ae Watan Watan," "Vande Maatram" and original creations that reflected love for the motherland and dreams of a united, progressive India. The stage came alive with vibrant vocals, heartfelt emotions, and a powerful message of unity and pride. Judged on vocal clarity, rhythm, expression, choice of song, and overall stage presence, the event saw tough competition as each house showcased incredible talent and originality. The self-composed songs, in particular, earned praise for their depth of thought and lyrical beauty. The competition concluded with encouraging remarks from the judges and the principal, who applauded the students for keeping the spirit of patriotism alive through the power of music.
