Grandparents' day celebration

With a strong belief in holistic development, emphasis on instilling strong moral values and with an aim to strengthen family ties, Carmel Convent Sr Sec School,Bhel celebrated Grandparents' Day with great zeal and gusto. The ceremonial occasion on Sept 9 witnessed a warm and cordial reception of the grandparents and the ambience exuded a vibe of wisdom and experience . The event beheld the gracious presence of Rev Fr Anil(CMI) , Rev Sr. Noel,Sr Joicy ,the Principal of the school and the members of the school management.A special assembly on the occasion by Class XI commenced with a divine prayer song along with the lighting of the lamp invoking God's abundant blessings. Fr. Anil, the Special Guest ,a divine soul devoted to reforming the lives of the downtrodden and marginalized was accorded a floral welcome by Sr. Joicy. Fr Anil applauded the efforts of the elderly in guiding the youth of the nation.Sr Noel was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers . She addressed the gathering on the need to raise empowered and compassionate souls, a huge responsibility that can be righteously accomplished by the wise and elderly. It was a sight to behold as grandparents treasured lovely moments while cherishing evergreen songs.A humorous skit characterised by the sweet and savoury relationship of the present generation with grandparents had emotions overflowing in abundance. Varied sentiments could be experienced as the endearing event exhibited the affectionate bond grandparents share with their grandkids, their unconditional love beautifully woven by Mrs. Maithili.Fabulous performances in the form of poems dedicated to the elderly, dances ushering nostalgia made the atmosphere vibrant.The children basked in grace with the blessings of the their grandparents who gazed with indulgence at their granddaughters showcasing their talent in multiple ways. Students who had brought laurels in various competitios were also felicitated. The day was filled with oodles of blessings, smiling faces and laughter as grandchildren displayed their warmth and reverence for their grandparents and fond memories culminated with a perfect blend of smiles and reverence.
