A Rangoli is a colourful design made on floor using
coloured rice powder. In maths, Rangoli patterns are a creative way to discover
symmetry, reflection and tessellation. Some rangoli patterns are in strip form
and some in circular form.By joining the dots, various patterns, curves,
various shapes like triangles, squares , circles etc are formed.These rangoli
creates beauty, spirituality, and hand mind coordination, logical thinking in
students.Many students showed interest in the club activities and benefitted
from them. Thus, maths club again did its best to eradicate ‘maths fever’ in
students and lead to develop holistic development.
Importance of maths club activity: It inculcates the habit of self-study and independent
work among the students. It helps the child in the proper utilization of
leisure time with some purposeful activities. It develops in problem solving
attitude among students.
