Seminar on Good Parenting
Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School organised an enlightening seminar on "Good Parenting"for the parents of senior secondary classes . The opening of the event was done by imploring the Lord's abundant blessings and an exalting prayer dance . The Principal of the school, Rev. Sr Ann Joicy expressed her jubilation and addressed the gathering, enlightening all through her enriching experiences and invoked the gathering to instil faith in God and nourish and nurture the young minds and act with greater responsibility and lovingly with the present generation .Further Ex- Carmelite and presently an army officer Kanpuriya Awasthy carried forward the trail and conducted an illuminating session guiding the parents to be pillars of strength,support and motivation for their kids especially during tough times. Eminent Resource Person and Psychologist Mr. Mahendra Joshi presented a power point presentation elaborating the need of a dialogical and non- hierarchical relationship and that children are worthy of a congenial environment so our communication with them should be conducted in a fairly democratised manner .The session an eye opener for all. Following this a communicative session between the parents and the resource person guiding the former to deal with this piquant situation of the times was extremely fruitful.The day was called with a vote of thanks towards all distinguished guests, parents and staff.
