SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Students of X grade of Carmel Convent BHEL , participated in the National Science Day celebration at Regional Science Centre Bhopal , whereby the Centre organized Sir C. V. Raman Memorial lecture, Opening the Infrared treasure chest with the James Web Space Telescope (JWST) by Dr. John . C. Mather, Senior Project Scientist, NASA , JWST and Nobel Prize winning Astrophysist on Tuesday , February 28th , 2023 . In the online session the Nobel laureate greeted the young Science enthusiasts and shared his life journey as a student and as a scientist . He explained the working of the Space Telescope and unveiled the mysterious universe with the application of Raman effect in the study of Space . The session ended with clarification of myths about universe and acknowledging the contribution of NASA and ISRO in the use of superior technology to understand our Solar system in a better way .
