The students of class III D conducted a special assembly on the topic, “Importance of Reading”. They began with the blessings showered by Sr. Joicy from the Bible. Post that, the students took their friends on a journey to a new land of learning through the fairy tales.  Fairy tails are more than true, not because they say that Dragons exist, but that they can be defeated. They indeed imbibe children with the power to defeat the evil and deliver the point that truth is always victorious. Here are a few examples that were taken to drive this point.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Snow White came over all her difficulties and lived her life to the fullest. The dwarfs were hardworking and never stressed a lot on physical appearances.,  Cinderella: This story revolves around the theme that we should treat people the way we like to be treated, then good will come to us than evil.  Elves and the shoemaker: This gave us a message that our happiness is not based on material things.   Little Red Riding Hood: This story teaches us to choose between what is right and what is wrong. Children must obey their parents and never talk to strangers. ,Goldilocks and the three bears: This story lays stress on obedience. Hence, fairy tales and fables are a cradle of reading and learning.- Reading improves understanding, connecting with the story improves our brain function and focus , It is a tool to communicate.
