To mark the 25th death anniversary of the
heavenly birthday of St. Mother Theresa,
the saint of the gutter, and as a part of Social Service Activity in order to
sensitise children about the lesser privileged society, the cabinet members of
the Primary wing, under the leadership of Sr Vineeta the Headmistress, along
with the teachers, Mrs Blessi Thomas, Mrs Annie Biju, Mrs. Bhawna Malviya went
to visit the inmates of the old age home and children's orphanage. It was a new
experience for them. According to the children, they saw the real happiness on
the face of those inmates when they shared food with them.
One student while expressing her feelings
shared that she learned how to be grateful in life and value the innumerable
blessings Almighty God has showered on each one.The students spent some time with the inmates and
performed some cultural activities like skit, dance and song to entertain them.
It was a learning experience for the
children. They handed over the charity items collected from the students of
Primary wing to the respective incharge Sisters of Missionaries of Charity. The
trip was a learning experience and they enjoyed the greatest virtue of the
joy of sharing. The students also
resolved to study hard and do their best for the lesser privileged society in
future.
