A VISIT TO MARIA BHAWAN BY CARMEL STUDENTS.
8 August 2022 was an eye opening day for the students of HUMANITIES STREAM of CARMEL CONVENT SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL,B H.E.L, BHOPAL.
A group of students under the able guidance and leadership of Rev. Dr. Sr Kripa, the School Principal along with the Social Service Wing ,the teacher incharge Mrs Licy Baby Mathew & the Student Minister Ms Neelambika Singh made a visit to Maria Bhavan a centre for physically and mentally challenged women of all age group during the school hours to spread joy and sunshine in their gloomy life.
Ms Neelambika Singh the Social Service Minister along with her fellow mates welcomed every member of the centre with SMILI BADGE with a message that PEACE begins with a SMILE. Thereafter the students presented a short inspiring programme with a welcome address to boost up their morale. In return some women willingly showcased their talents in the form of dance and songs to express their gratitude and love. The students of Carmel very enthusiastically mingled with these women , distributed sweets ,gifts and grocery items for their daily needs as a token of love and played games with them to express their joy.
The most amazing and beautiful
moment of the day which caught the attention of all was a long interactive,
caring and sharing session which helped them to know and understand each other
was really appreciable. The students were overwhelmed with a mixed feeling of
joy and sorrow to understand the
traumatic and deplorable life status of their past , which gave a life
experience to understand the harsh
reality of life. Now these women thank God to be in the safe hands to lead
a better and meaningful life under the care and concern of Rev Sr Vineeta, the
Superior of Maria Bhavan spreading a ray
of hope and sunshine in each one's life.
