On 16th June'22 a seminar for teachers was conducted on the topic, "Implementation of NEP Recommendation in CBSE schools". The occasion was graced by Dr Sr. Noel,Vicar Provincial, Sr. Lizy, Councillor finance, Sr. Rose Tom, Principal  Carmel Convent School,  Ratanpur, Sr. Archana, Principal Mount Carmel School, Baghmugalia, Dr Sr Kripa Maria, Principal Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, BHEL. The resource person, Ms Smitha Mathai introduced the key features of the policy laying emphasis on Curricular and Pedagogy reforms, Capacity Building for Teachers, Assessment Reforms and Systemic Reforms. She reminded the Teachers that times have changed and we no longer are,A sage on Stage but rather we are A Guide Beside.She highlighted the New Dimensions to Education that includes- Competency Based Education, developing Learning Skills, Literacy Skills and incorporating values,life skills and art in teaching. She humbly put forth the importance of teachers for upskilling and upgrading strategies and techniques for effective learning.The session was informative and many inhibitions regarding the NEP policy were dealt with.
